Last year I believed I was at PEAK happiness. I thought it couldn't get any better. If it were a mountain, I thought I was on the summit. So, I did the only logical thing my brain could think of: start a new note with a new list. This list was entitled "Annie's Key Points to Happiness". My rationale being that if I was ever feeling like I was no longer on the summit, I could refer to this list, and be reminded of all of the points that helped me reach what I thought to be the most purest genuinest ultimatest happiness of all time. I have since come to realize that happiness is a mountain with an endless, limitless, infinite number of summits. There is no "peak". There is always more to learn, more to feel, more happiness to be had. So, I'd like to share with you the original eight key points.

Happiness is not a small mountain to trek on, but the only way to reach a summit is to start hiking, right?

So let's start here:

1. There is good in everything. Focus on the good, acknowledge the bad, but don't dwell on it.

2. Everything works out. Every. Single. Thing.

3. Even if it doesn't work out in your favor, it worked out and that's the way it is supposed to be.

4. You can't control life so you might as well buckle up and live.

5. Be your best self, where you are, with what you have. Somehow someday you will find your way.

6. Remember your goodness !!!!!!

7. Be gentle with yourself

8. All will be well.
